Meet Richard

A man of two worlds, Richard learns from the past and writes about the future. Dr. Olson grew up training as an athlete, martial artist, and bodybuilder. He loves music and was a professional rock drummer. Richard is an avid reader of books, comics, Batman, and pulp magazines. He is passionate about film de noir movies from the 1930’s and 1940’s, and vintage TV shows. 

Richard has a diverse passion for the future and where it leads. To stay green and fresh, he reads and watches Sci-Fi movies, modern action heroes, and listens to Audible books of the present and future. 

Another facet for Richard is being outside. He enjoys bicycling, bonfires, golf, hiking, and most of all swimming or anything in, under or by the water. Nearly everywhere Richard has lived needed to be near water. He has lived: on an island in the Mississippi River, on the beach of the Illinois River, by three different lakes, and near a pond that had frogs the size of ducks. No, he didn’t croak.

Currently Dr. Olson is a Chiropractic Physician and Acupuncturist. The author, his wife Angela, their two children and a giant white dog live near twin lakes outside of Peoria, Illinois. Richard is a man of God and was raised in the Lutheran Church. He knows that God has a sense of humor: Richard looked into the mirror, they both laughed.
